read if you want. I don't care.
Today marks the completion of the second year. I can't believe I have been blogging for two years now. I know I've been spotty with the "weekly" blog posts, and I will not excuse myself for it. I've been looking around for some more topics to write about because honestly it's quite difficult to blog when you don't have time. I've been trying out a new sleeping schedule to see if I would be more productive. To see that I have started this blog post is definitely a start. I have recently watched a Buzzfeed video on having a morning and night routine of a CEO and it got me to thinking. Maybe I'll be less tired in the morning if I just went to bed earlier. So I did. Since Christmas (which has only been a few days ago, I know), I have been trying out the CEO morning and night routines. I have been messing up with taking a bath and other stuff, but I will say it's actually really interesting. But that's besides the point. If you want to hear more about my opinion on the CEO morning and night routine, give this post a thumbs up. Anyway, going back to the main topic.
Thank you so much for reading my posts for the past two years. I really appreciate it. I really enjoy the positive feedback from readers. Thank you and I will be continuing to post. I will try to have a post up every week. Anyway, thank you again, I hope you all spent some time with your family and friends this past holiday season and Happy New Year!! 2018 is coming up and I'm excited.
As the year comes to an end once again, we start reflecting on the year. What have we done, what have we achieved, and how can we improve. Then comes in the idea of New Year's resolutions. The goals we set ourselves up for, but (for many) never accomplish due to the lack of commitment we have for those goals or simply because you forgot or can't possibly change your entire life around to meet those high standards.
Going to the doctor's office recently for a yearly check-up has made me realize how much I give up to do well in school. My doctor was talking to me about getting at least 7 hours of sleep when I normally get 5. Or exercising at least three times a week when I would be sitting behind a desk or computer screen watching movies and shows on Netflix. And meditating for just five minutes to relieve all the stress from the day when I would just go to bed because I'm tired and stressed. Every day, I forget to do those things and it has been slowly affecting my health. With that in mind, here are a few resolutions that will be effective and not that big of a change in your daily lifestyle.
From the title, you would assume that I'm talking about a guy that I've just met, but actually that's a movie that I highly recommend. The movie The Way He Looks is about a blind teenager who is seeking out independence. Every day he is aided by his best friend, Giovana due to his condition. Then one day, a new kid comes to school and changes everything. It is a Brazilian movie so the audio is in Brazilian Portuguese. I really love this movie because it's the first LGBTQ+ movie I've watched. It portrays the same story as every other love story. Instead, a guy falls for another guy. It was interesting to me because of the twist where the main character and the new guy instantly connect. Sure it takes some time, but I love watching the progress of this love story. It also shows that just because someone is disabled, it doesn't mean that they can't be loved. There are so many people out there who find a person with disabilities to be unattractive because that person is incapable of being independent.
Anyway, this movie has also won two awards: the FIPRESCI Prize for best feature film in the Panorama section and the Teddy Award for best LGBT-themed feature. On the day it was released, the movie was the fifth most watched film in Brazil. I highly recommend that you watch this film. It was directed, written and co-produced by Daniel Ribeiro, and stars Ghilherme Lobo, Fabio Audi, and Tess Amorim. I watched it on Netflix, but I'm sure you can find it somewhere else if you don't have a Netflix account.

Now that Christmas is just around the corner, we will all be frantically shopping for presents for all of our friends and family. But what should you get for your loved ones this year? Here are five things that anyone will love this holiday season.
