read if you want. I don't care.
Hello lovelies! I've been thinking lately, but why is there just gender bias when it comes to going over to a friend's house or is it just me? For me, I wasn't able to go over to a friend's house until eighth grade when I went over to work on a project. Other than that, I've only hung out with my friends at school or at a public place hence why I'm always on my phone and on social media because that also isn't very often. From what I have seen (only in movies), I have seen that when kids are young, they can go over to other people's house for playdates and as they get older, they become lifelong friends and are literally inseparable, but that's only in movies. I was talking to a friend of mine who shared his opinion with me. He told me that it's about trust. It's not that our parents don't trust us; it's that they don't trust the other person, which I get, but I have some friends who can go over to anyone's house. That's not the issue that I am looking at. It's more of "why do some parents fear that their kids go over to a friend's house who is of opposite sex?"
I know that parents only want what’s best for their kids but what about letting them go out and make mistakes? Learn from them? Experience the real world? I’ve been thinking about this lately because it’s that time where I have to reflect on what I’ve done in the past four years and when I was trying to describe myself to my teacher, I couldn’t think of much. She then told me that my parents have been sheltering me for all my life. A parent’s job is to protect their child, but that raises the question of when do they need to let go? They can’t hold onto their children forever. Kids grow up and have to experience the world on their own one day. Why not have them experience the world when they’re younger so if they make a mistake, their parents will be there to correct that mistake and make the right decision next time? In order to grow up, most of the time, we have to learn from making mistakes. If you think it's something different, comment down below and we can start a conversation.

Well that's it for this post. Thank you for reading and I'll have a food review up soon. Peace out!
So recently, Starbucks has released a new drink called the Cold Brew Float. It's basically cold coffee with ice cream and it is delicious. I personally love it so much because come on, who doesn't love coffee and ice cream? But they only serve it in a tall and it's about $6. I know right. That's crazy and unreasonable to the price to be $6, especially for a tall. But honestly guys, if you love it so much, just mix some vanilla ice cream and cold brew coffee together at home and you can have as much as you for less than $6. My sister just made some because she wanted ice cream, but then she saw some cold brew coffee in the refrigerator and decided to make some coffee ice cream. While she was experimenting with the amount of coffee to add to the ice cream, she just kept mixing and it became a drink. She had me try it and it reminded me of the Cold Brew Float at Starbucks so I just had to write about it.
Also if you can make the drink yourself at home, just do it. It will save you the money and the drive to Starbucks.
Yesterday (15 September 2017) was my last Hello Dance. Honestly, I'm pretty sad that it was my last one and the seniors didn't even get first place in the lip sync. Besides that, I'm proud of everyone in lip sync because everyone's performance was amazing. Thank you for all the hard work our choreographers put into making these dances amazing. I had such an amazing time with my friends. This year, ASB donated $2 for every ticket bought to help all of the people affected by the recent hurricanes. Thank you to everyone who could make it to the dance yesterday and hopefully all the people who were affected by the hurricanes are getting the help they need.
Anyway, i know this is pretty short but I hope everyone has a great week. And if any of you are interested in volunteering at the senior homes, spending time with the elderly, and live in Cerritos or surrounding cities, contact me because I'm looking for more volunteers. Alright, peace out!
WOOHOO!!! It's finally my senior year of high school and I'm ready for it. So far, it's been pretty chill but then again, it's only been the two days of school. Honestly tho, senior year's starting out really well. Like I have all the classes that I want so I'm pretty happy. For you Whitnerds out there, I hope y'all are doing well too because I noticed that there was a lot of schedule conflicts this year on the office's part and also please be patient with them. They are working really hard to make you guys happy with your schedule.
Beside that, I feel like this year is going to be a good year. I feel like I'm ready for the busy first semester that comes with senior year. Also since school has started, my days have been going by faster because I have something to do. I'm actually happy school started. Over the last few days of summer, I was bored out of my mind because I had no plans and was stuck at academy where I also did nothing.
Also, on Wednesday, I just turned 17!!! So thank you to everyone who told me happy birthday. I really appreciate it. I can't believe that I came into senior year at 16 and now I've joined everyone else. Well I just wanted this to be an intro to senior year kind of post. I know I've been slacking lately. I'm working on it. Thank you for reading and I'll keep you guys posted on anything new.
**There's a new boba s... WAIT TWO NEW BOBA SHOPS that have just opened up in Cerritos.
