I know with the break, most people have had more free time with the burden of test and homework lifted off of their shoulders. I, for one, have taken that opportunity to watch the movies that I could not watch during the school. That is the reason behind all these new movie reviews. Anyway, with that said, here's another movie for you.
On Netflix, there is a movie called Stuck in Love. It is a romantic comedy and it's about a boy who went through his first relationship, a man who is still hung up on his ex-wife, and a girl who is afraid of falling in love. It's very quirky and romantic. I, personally, cried while watching it, maybe because I cry easily in movies whether it is a sad movie or there is such a happy moment that I just cry tears of happiness. Anyway, this movie is really connected to the insecurities that everyone has when it comes to love. The fear of being hurt, the feeling of giving up and bouncing around, and the emptiness of the heartbreak. I feel like this movie really is great if you're into rom-coms. I would say it is a must watch but that's just me. It is on Netflix but I heard that it was going to be taken off after November so if you have the time and a Netflix account, go watch it. It's pretty great.
This movie is kind of perfect timing since it is beginning the movie off with a broken family celebrating Thanksgiving and in the end, that family is reunited and whole again. It shows us that in the span of one year, people can really change and realize that they should be thankful for the things they have because someday, it might disappear and you will never be able to appreciate it for what is now that it's gone.
Normally when people think of Thanksgiving, the first thing that comes to mind is food, the turkey, and the feast. After that, people begin to think about being thankful. Well from me to you,
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I know it's a day early but I just wanna say that I'm thankful for everything that I have. The loving family and friends and people that I have met over the years. I just want to say thank you to everyone who have been so kind and loving toward me. Continue being the great people you are. It's so rare to see people giving back to the community and I want to say thank you to those people as well. Remember, tomorrow isn't just about the food. It's also about being thankful for the people and things around you. So happy Thanksgiving everyone and have a great day with the people you love.
Thanksgiving break for me started on Monday after the Tustin Conference. I only had USH homework and I was determined to finish it first to get it out of the way. I had to go to academy on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then on Thursday and Friday, I was at my cousin's house.
On Monday, I went to academy from 9-6. We worked from 9-12:30. Then we went to get lunch at In-n-Out where I saw a few friends. Then I went back to academy and just did homework for the rest of the time. After 6, I went to my friend's house to have a movie night. We watched Doctor Strange and in my opinion, it was okay. I thought there would be more to it but I expected too much.
On Tuesday, I had to take my permit test, which I didn't pass, at 8 am. After that, I went to academy and finished my homework. In the afternoon, we went to the movies and watched Trolls. I thought it was okay when it came to the characters like they aren't really that cute, but I love the story of wanting to spread happiness. Then again, I watched the beginning, slept through the middle, and woke up again for the ending. Then I just chilled for the rest of the day.
On Wednesday, I went to academy but then we went to the library. Since I was going to go bowling with my friends at 11, my dad picked me up from the library and I thought I was going to go home after hanging out with my friends. Anyway, I went to the bowling alley and we played two games, which I lost both times. After playing two games, we went to eat a 3 foot long burrito at Mexican Food. Let me tell you, that burrito was so good. If any of you are interested, the 3 foot long burrito costs $45.95 and and the 6 foot long burrito costs $64.95. According to their website, it should take about 10-15 people to finish the 3 foot, and 20-25 people to finish the 6 foot. In my opinion, it was worth it. It is filled with beans, cheese and rice, beef, chicken or combination of both carnitas, carne asada or combination, and it Includes a bag of fresh chips and Salsa. I'll put the link to their website down below. After lunch, I went home and just chilled with my parents, watching Cooks vs. Cons on Food Network, later cartoons with my sister, and after that Stuck in Love on Netflix. Oh I love watching shows.
From Thursday to Saturday, I stayed at my cousin's house and it was pretty fun. On Thursday, we had a casual Thanksgiving with take-out crab and KFC. After dinner, my aunt took me and my cousins to Michaels where we bought ribbon to decorate some Christmas lights. Oh my goodness, getting the ribbon was easy but when we started the project, it took hours of measuring the ribbon so it was perfect, cutting the ribbon, taking out the wire from the wired ribbon, preparing a pattern, and finally tying all the ribbon onto the Christmas lights. All of that took us about eight hours. It was so pretty in the end. (There's going to be a picture of it in the gallery.) On Friday, we went Black Friday shopping at the Citadel Outlets and it was the biggest mistake of my life, It was six hours of my life wasted at Citadel, and on top of that, there was a fire nearby so everyone getting out of the parking lot was moving at 0 mph. Then there was a fight about to go down between a couple Filipinos, Mexicans, and African Americans. One of them looked like they had a gun in their pocket. It was so scary. Anyway, I got home safely after hours in traffic. On Saturday, I just chilled and went home. On Sunday, I went to volunteer at the hospital as usual, and after that, my family just went to Target to get some stuff to get ready for Christmas and get the necessities.
Well, that's how my Thanksgiving break went down. How was your Thanksgiving break? Comment it down below. Anyway, since school is starting up again, good luck with getting back to school.
I don't know what the exact address is but if you know Cerritos, it's in the plaza across from the Target on the corner of Bloomfield Ave and Del Amo Blvd.

This past weekend (the beginning of Thanksgiving Break) was the Tustin High School MUN Conference. I went as the delegation from the Russian Federation in the committee discussing gender mainstreaming and women in power & decision making. It was really interesting what other countries had to say about the topic. Although many of us had education as one of our solutions, there were more like incorporating peace huts, which are places where women can voice their opinions in safe areas, or recreating conferences like the 1995 Beijing Platform for Action at the Fourth Conference on Women, where a lot of improvements were made toward gender equality.
Although many people see MUN as another program that is just full of research and time wasted at conference, it really is FUN. It is really fun getting to share your ideas to help a world problem with people who want to make a change too. Being in the new generation of children, we have to be the change we want to see in the world. Sure it takes time to write position papers and research to make sure you are prepared for the conference, but at the end of the conference, it is all fun and memorable. At these conferences, you get to make friends that you will see at future conferences throughout the year and it's always fun to see your school end strong with awards.
So to all of you people out there contemplating whether to join MUN or not, just do it. Try it out with a club first and then if you love it, just continue.
Hey guys! I'm back with another food review. So recently, I went to the Nine Seafood Restaurant, a small restaurant that serves Cajun-style seafood and classic Thai meals. I have just found it recently hiding behind the Royal Garden Restaurant on South Street in Cerritos. For all my fellow Whitney students, Mr. G is upstairs from the restaurant.
Anyway, since I don't like to get my hands dirty, I ordered clam chowder and garlic bread. Goodness graces if you love clam chowder a little bit on the sweet side, this is the one for you. It's creamy and there are a lot of clam and potatoes inside. The garlic bread is just perfect like there are no words to describe it (maybe because I love garlic bread).
If you like to get your hands dirty when eating, you absolutely have to order the crawfish. It is just the right amount of spicy and it's just amazing according to my parents and sister. Since we have only gone there twice, I would have to say it's pretty good since we ordered crawfish both times, when we went with my aunt and then the second time when we went with family friends. Everyone at the table loved the crawfish so I believe it is really good.
The funny thing is I think we did not leave too much time in between each visit so when we went the second time, the employees remembered us. They gave us a little smile when we walked in again and seated us at the same table the second time. The customer service is amazing. They make sure you stay clean when digging away at the food and according to some people on Yelp, this place is better than Boiling Crab. Well, that's it for this review. Hope you all get the chance to go and give this restaurant a try.
Here is the address to the restaurant in Cerritos:
11818 South Street Cerritos, CA 90703
I don't know if there are more joints in other areas but this is the only one that pops up when I search it up.

Hey guys! With the election, the results have spread so much hatred and chaos in the streets of America. To combat the issue with the help of the students, we have create #therealwall which is full of love and good deeds as a way to bring us together instead of tear us apart. The yellow post-its are inspirational quotes, thoughts, poems, etc; the pink post-its are pledges to do good things in your community; and the blue post-its are good deeds that have been received from others around you. After you write on your post-it, find a designated area for everyone to put their post-its up and just start...well posting on the wall. Bring this to your community and together we will be able to bring love back into the country we live in. Also, take a picture of your wall and share it with #therealwall happy posting! 😄
Hey guys! I'm back with a few movies. I know I must be super late on some of these movies but I just wanted to share them with you guys. Recently, I have watched four movies and here they are.
